Times in the life of Willie - by a guest blogger
Right now he is watching some crazy Japanese ninja warrior show where they are going through a wacky obstacle course.
He does have a lot more going on than that though.
Last week Will the Thrill got braces and in spite of the fact that he thinks he looks like a goober and even used the word (gasp!) "Hate" in reference to those braces and some of the people involved in the process, he seems to be settling in to the metal mouth world of teenager-dom. He can still eat, still smile, and I think that they made his voice deeper.
He also started football practice last week and even though he's really tired and missed one day of practice last week due to heat exhaustion, I think it's going well. He is the center - his number is a family favorite #75 and dad is one of the coaches and all is well - no puking and he's not last! Yes! Even if you can never find anything else to strive for...not being last is a good one.
This morning he was babysitter extraordinaire whilst I was on a LONG conference call for work. He kept the monkey entertained and did a great job soaking him with the hose, one of Elliott's favorite past-times.
We also ate chicken fingers from the Arctic Circle for lunch. I blew 13 points on two chicken fingers and about 12 french fries, but it tasted pretty good.
Peace out....

I Will Survive!!!!

- I made it!!! WOO HOO! Scout camp is over.
I got 7 merit badges and swam in the coldest lake in the world. It was really fun but I am tired. Our Troop (96) won not only most AWESOMEST troop (should be real award) but we won the mountain man relay race and the Friday Spirit Stick with our German power, which means it is ours to keep.
The best additions to are troop were 2 german exchange students Max and Valentine.
I only got somewhere between 60 and 70 misquito bites.
There were a whole buch of speech problems, not only scouts but staff too, you could't really tell what anyone was saying.
There was one person who I could not tell if he/she was a boy or a girl.
But all in all it was a good scout camp
Except it took forever to get home, and my legs were covered in dirt.
I had a very thick sock line

No Comparison
Other Things
Only in BYU do you start off a concert with a prayer.
Dancers and Cheerleaders are a total waste of money
The best part of the whole night was this: They have 3 ladies sending shout outs to their husband currently serving in Iraq. Little do they know they are being broadcasted to their husbands via satellite. So they have a sort of reunion with their husbands. One of the husbands does they best thing ever. He holds up a University of Utah football Jersey and yells. GO UTES!!!!! That just made my day.
